Plan Change under consideration

I am seriously considering delaying earning a degree in order to obtain a certificate from the Computer Systems Institute Networking Career Program. This would allow me to earn my certifications (A+, Network+, MCP, MCSA) so I can get a job. This change is not a foregone conclusion, however, because I must first apply and then receive notification of my financial aid award. According to the Illinois Workforce Development System CSI accepts Pell Grants as part of financial aid.

I still plan to earn a degree, but feel it is more responsible if I can get a job to earn some money before I attend DePaul after completion of my DAPP requirements. It will cost about $32,000 for one year at DePaul without room and board.

I will complete my math, english, computer programming, HTML, database class and any general education domain courses that I can finish at Truman College before making a seemless transfer to DePaul to earn a Bachelor of Science in Network Technologies degree. However, before I leave Truman I will complete all developmental courses. The degree I earn at Truman will be an Associate in General Studies.
